The removed part is a layer of pixels, not editable text, and the PSD does not turn characters, panels or screentones into separate layers.
Understanding the results
AI can rebuild artwork, but it can't reveal the original hidden pixels
When a bubble covers a character's hair, clothing or background, that artwork is not in the flattened image. AI uses the surrounding panel to make a plausible replacement.
On a simple white background the result may be straightforward. With complex hair, detailed clothing, screentones, speed lines or overlapping characters, you may need to refine it.

Before you clean
Get more control over your results
Select the whole bubble when removing it
Include the border and the tail. A leftover piece can make the removal look incomplete.
Don't select too much artwork
Keep the selection close to what you want to replace. A smaller selection means less to fix.
Use text only for dialogue changes
If the bubble is still useful, keep it and remove only the words.
Start from a clear image
A sharp scan or high-quality file gives the model more nearby linework and texture to follow.
Check thin lines and screentones

What is a manga speech bubble remover?
It is an editing tool that removes dialogue bubbles or their text from manga and comic images. You select what to erase and AI reconstructs the area from nearby artwork.
Can I remove a speech bubble without removing the character behind it?
You select the bubble, and AI tries to rebuild the covered character or background. Hidden details can't be recovered exactly if they weren't visible, so the result may need manual correction.
Can I remove Japanese text and keep the bubble?
Yes. Choose Remove text only and select the lettering. Keep the bubble outline outside your selection to avoid extra changes.
Does it work with Korean manhwa and webtoons?
You can use the same steps on single manhwa, webtoon and other comic images. Results depend on image quality, layout and how complex the content is.
Can I remove text from colored comics?
Yes. Detailed gradients, complex textures and illustrated backgrounds may need extra correction.
Does the tool find every speech bubble automatically?
No. You decide what to remove by painting the area yourself. There is no automatic detection of bubbles.
What is the difference between Remove text only and Remove entire bubble?
Remove text only erases lettering and keeps the bubble. Remove entire bubble removes the selected bubble, its outline and tail, and AI rebuilds the artwork beneath it.
Will the original linework stay the same?
Everything outside your selection is copied from your original, pixel for pixel. Inside the selection, lines and screentones are rebuilt by AI and may differ, so review them.
Can AI restore the exact background behind a bubble?
No. If the bubble covered part of the drawing, those pixels are gone. AI estimates a plausible replacement from the visible surroundings.
Can I download the cleaned manga as a PNG?
Yes. The cleaned image is available as a PNG.
Can I download a layered PSD?
Yes. It has Cleaned Artwork, plus Original Artwork and Selected Bubble or Text layers that are switched off. It does not recreate the artist's own Photoshop project.
Can I replace the removed text with an English translation?
You can add your own translated text in your image editor. The tool does not translate or typeset for you.
Can I remove several bubbles from one panel?
You can paint more than one area in one selection, within the image and selection limits. Widely separated or complex areas may be easier to check as separate jobs.
What image formats can I upload?
JPG, PNG and WebP up to 10 MB, at least 256 px on the short side. Large images are scaled to 2048 px on the long side.
How much does it cost?
Each cleanup uses credits. The amount is shown next to the button before you start. Another cleanup is a separate job.
What if the result isn't perfect?
You can refine it in an image editor, or change your selection and start a new cleanup, which costs credits again. Credits for a job that fails are returned.
Can I use this for commercial manga localization?
You need the rights to edit and distribute the source artwork. The tool doesn't give you any rights to third-party manga. Review the service terms and your licensing agreements.
