How It Works
One Section Replaced, Everything Else Kept
You choose where the original footage stops and where it continues. AI generates the new scene in between and cuts it back into your video.
Track 1 · Original Video (10.04s)
Track 2 · AI Insert Operation (5.0s)
Master · Final Output Video (11.54s)
Duration Calculation Formula
10.04s (Original) - 3.50s (Cut: 2.5s→6.0s) + 5.00s (New AI Scene) = 11.54s (Final Video)
Why is the final video 1.5 seconds longer? The 3.5-second section between 2.5s and 6.0s was replaced with a 5.0-second generated scene, extending total duration by exactly 1.5 seconds.

Settings used for this example
The example clip and the new scene were created entirely with AI for this demonstration.
The example uses a cat scene, not a product video. Results vary by source footage and prompt.
Your video is almost ready, but the product needs a better moment. Maybe the close-up is missing, the packaging deserves more attention, or your UGC ad needs a dedicated product reveal between two shots that already work. Upload your existing video, select the section you want to change, and describe the product shot you need. Add product reference images to guide the appearance, generate a new shot, and return to the surrounding original footage.
Keep the useful footage. Replace the selected section with a new AI-generated product shot.
Start with the video you already have
Upload your video. Add the product shot you’re missing.
You do not need to create another complete commercial. Start with the product video, creator clip, or promotional footage you already have. Choose where the existing video should pause and where it should resume, then describe the product moment you want between those points.
Use product reference images when packaging, shape, color, or brand styling matters. The selected source section is replaced; it is not an extra shot layered over the original timeline.
You don’t need another full video. You need one better product moment.
- The creator introduction already works.
- The opening gets to the point.
- The product story makes sense.
- The ending is ready.
- But the product itself never gets a good close-up.
Maybe it appears too briefly, the shot is shaky, or the footage never shows details customers care about. Filming again means setting up the camera, adjusting the lighting, and shooting another version.
Replace the weak moment and keep working with the video you have.
Replace a section, not the entire commercial
Keep the opening. Change the product moment. Return to your video.
- Upload your existing video.
- Choose Start and Resume points around the section to replace.
- Generate a new 5–13 second product shot.
- Keep the original footage before Start and after Resume in the output.
The generated scene can be longer or shorter than the source interval, so the final video duration may change.

Your product isn’t a generic object
Show AI what your product looks like
Reference images can guide visual appearance, but do not guarantee exact packaging, logos, label text, color, shape, or dimensions.
Front product view
Use a clear image that shows the main shape and front-facing details.
Side or three-quarter view
Add another angle to show the item’s form and proportions.
Detail or lifestyle view
Include a useful detail or a visual style reference when it helps explain the shot.
Optional motion reference
Use one supported short video to guide camera movement or action.
Inspect logos, lettering, colors, materials, and dimensions against the real item before publishing.
Review the whole edit, not only the generated shot
The generated scene reconnects to the original video at the Resume point.
Check the cut into the product shot and back to the source footage. Differences in camera motion, lighting, placement, and audio can remain visible.
The new scene may have a different duration from the section it replaces.
Make the shot easier to generate and review
Details worth getting right
- Choose product photos with an unobstructed view; multiple angles can help communicate shape.
- Describe one camera move and one setting rather than many unrelated visual ideas.
- Choose natural Start and Resume points for the surrounding footage.
- Describe lighting that makes sense with the original video.
- Check logos, labels, colors, printed text, buttons, ports, and other product-specific details.
- Watch the full edited video and listen for dialogue, narration, music, and sound effects.
- Review product accuracy and advertising claims before publishing.
Know what to expect
AI product shots need a final review
This workflow replaces one selected section of an existing video with a generated scene. Product shapes, logos, text, dimensions, motion, lighting, transitions, and audio may differ from the source or references.
You remain responsible for accurate product representation, rights, required disclosures, and advertising compliance.
Why generate one product shot instead of reshooting?
When the rest of the footage still works, focus on the section that needs attention.
- Keep useful opening and ending footage.
- Try a different product presentation.
- Use approved product images as visual references.
- Review another creative version from the same source video.
This generative editing workflow may reduce the need for a reshoot in suitable situations, but it does not guarantee a publish-ready result or eliminate retouching and quality review.
Work on one specific product moment before rebuilding the whole campaign.
Product shot or general B-roll?
Insert product shot into video
Choose this workflow when your goal is making a specific product more visible in an existing video. Describe the product, framing, setting, and its connection to the surrounding footage.
Insert a general scene into video
Use the general scene workflow for a different action, character moment, transition, environment, or story beat.
For a completely new video without source footage, use an AI video generator. This workflow replaces a selected section; it does not find product-shot gaps automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Can I insert an AI-generated product shot into an existing video?
Yes. Upload an existing video, select a section, and describe the product shot you want. The tool generates a replacement scene and returns to the original footage after the Resume point.
Does the tool add a product shot without removing any original footage?
No. It replaces the selected section between Start and Resume. Footage before Start and after Resume is retained as the surrounding source material.
Can I use this to add product B-roll to a UGC video?
Yes. You can generate a product-focused replacement scene within an existing UGC clip. You choose the section; the workflow does not automatically identify where B-roll should go.
Can I generate a product close-up from reference images?
You can add product reference images and describe a close-up shot. The images guide generation, but the model may change labels, dimensions, colors, or small details.
How many product reference images can I upload?
The current workspace supports up to three product reference images.
Can I upload a product photo without an existing video?
No. This workflow requires a source video because it replaces a scene inside existing footage. To create a video without source footage, use a separate video generation workflow.
Can I use a reference video for camera movement?
Yes. You can add one supported short reference video, up to eight seconds, to help guide motion or camera behavior.
Can I insert a shot of a skincare bottle, shoe, or electronic device?
You can describe these products and use reference images. Results depend on the source footage, model behavior, and visual complexity of the item.
Will AI keep my product logo and packaging exactly the same?
Exact reproduction is not guaranteed. Logos, lettering, printed labels, geometry, and materials may differ from the reference. Inspect the result before commercial use.
Can I create a macro or close-up product shot?
You can request macro-style framing or a close-up in the prompt, but the model does not guarantee optically accurate macro photography or precise product detail reconstruction.
Does the product shot have to be the same length as the original section?
No. The generated scene can have a different duration from the source range. The final video length may change.
How long can the generated product shot be?
The current workflow supports a generated scene length of 5–13 seconds.
What is the maximum length of the original video?
The current source video limit is 60 seconds and 50 MB.
Can I replace the first second of my video?
No. The replacement must start at least 1.625 seconds into the source video. The slider uses 0.1-second steps, so its earliest selectable value is approximately 1.7 seconds.
Can I place a product shot at the very end of the video?
Not with this scene-replacement workflow. You must leave some original footage after the Resume point. For a new scene beyond the ending, use a video extension workflow.
Can I use the tool to create multiple versions of the same product advertisement?
You can generate separate replacement-scene versions using the same source video. The tool does not currently provide a one-click batch that automatically makes many variations.
Can I replace another scene after the first generation?
Yes. The completed-job workflow supports continuing with another insertion, subject to the same source limits and another generation charge.
Does the AI preserve the original voiceover?
Do not assume it will preserve audio inside the replaced section. Check dialogue, narration, music, sound effects, and transitions in the final output.
Can I choose the camera angle and lighting?
You can describe framing, camera movement, lighting, and environment in the prompt. The model attempts to follow those directions, but exact execution is not guaranteed.
Will the inserted product shot match the original video’s style?
The workflow offers visual references and a color-matching option to guide continuity. Differences in lighting, camera motion, or environment may still be visible.
What output quality is available?
The workspace offers Standard at 480p and High at 768p.
Does this work for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Shopify, or product ads?
You can use the resulting video in an authorized commercial workflow. Check aspect ratio, dimensions, product accuracy, captions, disclosures, and platform-specific rules.
How much does it cost to generate a product shot?
The credit charge depends on the generated scene length and selected output quality. The current price is displayed beside the Generate button.
What happens if the generation fails?
Failed generations follow the service’s existing job-failure and applicable credit-refund process. A completed video with visual imperfections is not necessarily a failed generation.
Can I use the generated product footage commercially?
You can use the service with source footage and references you have the necessary rights to use, subject to applicable terms. You remain responsible for product accuracy, intellectual property, and advertising compliance.
Is this a full product video editor?
No. It replaces one selected section of an existing video with an AI-generated scene. It does not automatically edit an entire campaign, synchronize all voiceovers, or assemble multiple scenes into a new ad.
Give your product a better shot without starting the video over.
Keep the creator introduction, story, and ending that already work. Choose the moment that needs a closer look at the product, guide AI with reference images, and generate a new scene for that part of the video. Existing video required · Up to 3 product reference images · 5–13 second AI scenes. The selected source section is replaced; review product accuracy, continuity, and audio before publishing.
